KUCHING: Recently, two students of the Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS) assisted to transform the business of Madam Bunga Anak Langgang through their Final-Year Project.

The two students, namely Victoria Shanon Anak Robert and Vanessa Anak Menang are final-year students of the Skills Diploma in Information System Administration Programme.

As part of their final-year project, the students assisted Bunga to identify a strategic location for her new Chicken Rice stall in Tabuan Jaya and also assisted to promote the Chicken Rice!

The project started was funded by the students using their own savings. According to the students, “We took part-time jobs during our semester break and on weekends in order to come up with the funds for our project.”

Bunga previously operated a Chicken Rice stall at Kpg Stutong but the business did not do well. At the new location, business has been brisk.

“I am thankful to the students; their project has helped to improve my income and I am able to support my family. They covered the initial cost for me and witnessed my business progress.” Said Bunga.

The students shared, “When we have extra savings, we plan to set up another stall or branches for Aunty Bunga and maybe another stall of our own as well.”
