MIRI: Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS) together with International College of Advanced Technology Sarawak (i-CATS) are working together to bring robotics technology to primary pupils in the state.


PPKS Miri campus acting director Miss Syuhaira Mohd Zin said "There are plenty of untapped potential in the uses of robotics technology, in both the government and private sectors in Sarawak. This is an area that is still largely untapped.”


"Robotics technology is becoming a norm in developed countries in most household, PPKS and i-Cats are bringing robotics education to primary pupils to expose them to such new innovations.” She said when launching PPKS/i-CATS Innovation Day 2019 in Miri on Saturday (July 27).


PPKS offers 19 industrial training programmes that have been accorded 5-star and 4-star ratings by the Skills Development Department Malaysia in Putrajaya.


PPKS qualifications are recognised and accepted by both the government and industries.
