AWISAR; Briefing on Skill Competency Assessment Programme for Site Supervisor and Construction Skill Workers

KUCHING, 25 July 2019: A briefing on Skill Competency Assessment Programme for Site Supervisor and Construction Skill Workers organised by Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) attracted 100 students and staff from Pusat Pembangunan Kemahiran Sarawak (PPKS), and its subsidiary Automotive and Welding Institute of Sarawak (AWISAR.


The programme which was held at AWISAR gives information on CIDB functions and procedures to obtain Green Card for the students. Question and answer session was held after the briefing for further explanation related to the benefits of skill competency programmes.


The CIDB Green Card is a value added certification to enhance the Malaysian Skill Certificate (SKM) that PPKS & AWISAR students going to obtain at the end of their training.


Mr. Noor Azirhan bin Sahat, CIDB Manager, stated that a long-term collaboration with AWISAR is a strategic efforts to improve the competency level of skill workers in Sarawak.


The certificates presentation and closing ceremony were done by Mr. Jaidil bin Yakop, AWISAR General Manager. Also presence were the representatives from Malaysian Construction Academy (ABM) and TWI.
