Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS) and TalentCorp Malaysia are on the same page to provide a germane platform for students to be well-prepared prior to delving into the workforce.

Kuching, Sarawak (March 21st, 2016) – PPKS will be hosting 3Days and 2Nights Graduate Employability Boot Camp at its Tabuan Jaya campus this week, March 24th till 26th.

One of the primary objectives of this program is to improve fresh and unemployed graduates’ communication and soft skills through an intensive series of activities which have been specifically designed for the entire boot camp, such as CV Tailoring, Grooming Etiquette, Interview Skills as well as Discussing the Impact and Effect of Social Media with inspirational speakers and industry practitioners.
Besides, through this boot camp, participants will have the opportunity to garner a better grasp in cultivating their skill sets and augmenting the self-marketability as what it is required by the industry nowadays. The camp also enables participants to experience the role-play workshops along with the real-life interview situations during the day-3 of this program.

Prospective employers ranging from various sectors like oil and gas, electrical and electronics, telecommunications, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as well as Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises or Entrepreneurship will hold interviews at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) for the participants then offer them, the successful candidates a placement.

Meanwhile, for those who do not make a cut, they will be channeled to Graduate Employability Management Scheme (GEMS) which is a combined classroom training funded by TalentCorp to enhance graduate employability with the aim to reduce talent shortages in the key areas of economy by 2020.

The exclusive boot camp is open to all Malaysian degree holders or final year or final semester students and aged not later than 27 years old.
