250 guests attended the Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS) annual Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri this year.

KUCHING, (JULY 19th, 2016) – Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS) recently held a joyous Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri at the Tan Sri Aziz Multipurpose Hall of International College of Advanced Technology Sarawak (i-CATS) West Campus, Jalan Stampin, here.

The occasion itself provided a tremendous opportunity for the invitees ranging from internal and external stakeholders, who began trickling in as early at 12pm to mingle and celebrate Aidilfitri in a warm ambience filled with a sense of goodwill. It ended at 2.30pm.

Prior to being treated to opulent local delicacies, the event also witnessed momentous plaque signing and ribbon-cutting ceremonies to inaugurate the opening of PPKS subsidiary, i-CATS West Campus as well as Tan Sri Aziz Multipurpose Hall.

The Hari Raya luncheon was graced by the PPKS Chairman cum i-CATS President, Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Datuk Amar (Dr) Haji Abdul Aziz bin Dato Haji Husain alongside the PPKS Group of Companies Executive Director, Mr. Hallman Haji Sabri and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of i-CATS, Mr. Mohamad Isham bin Fauzi.

“The employees and stakeholders are ought to work closely with each other in order to achieve the organization’s common goals. This includes to ceaselessly succor the State’s initiatives to produce competent and skilled workforce as to ensure the vision of progressive development in Sarawak”, Tan Sri urged in his remarks.

Speaking at the occasion, Tan Sri also made a special announcement on staff salary increment that would be implemented next year, 2017.  He added that the gesture to increase staff salary could further magnify the quality of manpower in PPKS and its subsidiaries.

Meanwhile, Hallman on the other hand greeted and welcomed the crowd for coming up for the yearly gathering. In his speech, he emphasized on the PPKS transformation towards being a well-recognized skills and training center by all in the near future.

There were many activities organized on that day, viz. telematch games and Tan Sri’s advance birthday surprise.

Also present were, Mr. Shamsur Taha, Vice Chairman I of PPKS Management Council, Dato Hajah Maznah binti Dasmi, Secretary of PPKS Management Council, and distinguished members of PPKS Management Council.
